1. Southwest Pearl: $$$
This crown jewel was strategically positioned on top of the hills of Southwest Austin. Throughout the community, you can catch glimpses of the Austin skyline. It has the atmosphere of the hill country while maintaining its clean, modern style. The hotel style infinity pools with luxe white lounge chairs in the water are everything! They inspire visions of amazing bbqs and carafes of mimosas on a Sunday. Luckily there are three pools on property, making all of that possible. The 24-hour state of the art fitness center offers tons of machines and workout equipment. Undoubtedly, this is the type of gym that will make your fitness friends drool! Keeping a gym membership anywhere else, especially because of this properties luxury style pools would seem silly! Now if you are looking to get into the outdoor workout mode, this area is surrounded by running, hiking, and biking trails through the hills of Southwest Austin. The apartments themselves have gorgeous kitchens with exceptional countertops. Washers and dryers are included in each unit. The bathrooms are filled with sexy vibes from the high-end stand-up showers to the oversized garden tubs! I mean, who doesn't like options of how to scrub down at the end of the day? If you are in need of grabbing a quick bite, just a short drive away is the brick and mortar of Via 313 pizza, Evangeline cafe, Juiceland and Whole Foods South. I could go on and on about how great this property is, but you might just have to see if for your self!
2. Budget Babe: $
A 5-minute Lyft ride from Rock rose! This property is all about location, location, location. Whole Foods, top golf, tons of shopping at the Domain and Flywheel Stadium sitting right across the street. You cannot get a better deal for a property so close to the Domain, aka Downtown North ;) This apartment community currently has two bedrooms priced less than $1,299. With the bedrooms sitting across from one another, this floorplan makes for an ideal roommate style apartment. The clubhouse and lounge area by the pool is perfect for a hot summer day! If hiking or walking is your thing, this property backs up to a large greenbelt that is ideal exploring Austin's nature side of north Austin. If you are looking to save on rent or get a great special, this could be the property for you! It's ballin' on a budget while living near all of the action!
3. Not Your Average High-Rise: $$$$
This highrise that sits in the middle of downtown Austin, it represents everything a highrise should be. As soon as one walks through the front doors, the smell of luxury hits you. That is after you wave to the armed security guard and decide which one of the four elevators to take up. It's amazing to look out of the floor to ceiling windows from the apartment and just watch the beating heart of the city from high above. The glass standing showers with chrome and black accents also make this on my classy bathroom list where showering would definitely become less of a task and more so, an escape! When you head up to the rooftop deck/pool/lounge area and step out of the elevator, one feels as if they have been transported to a Las Vegas rooftop pool party. Then looking through the glass, you can see Town lake from an angle unimaginable from anything but 37 stories up in the air. That's when you remember you are of course in Austin, Texas. It's home, but it's seen from an entirely new point of view! Everything about this place is breathtaking and makes one feel as if they can easily conquer the world.
4. Lakeway Ranch: $
Live in Lakeway for less than what it cost to live on Riverside. One can't help but sense the nature-oriented country club-like vibe as soon as you walk up. The huge pool is complimented so well by the huge trees and greenery. This community is located 10 minutes away from both Lake Austin and Lake Travis and makes this an ideal location for fun in the sun! Just don't forget the sunscreen if you decide to run to one of the Jetski rental spots nearby for the afternoon.
The drive back to your apartment on 2222 through the sprawling hills gives a glimpse of an entirely different side of Austin then most people don't have the chance to see on their day to day commute. The property doesn't sit it the middle of the city surrounded by tons of cars, shopping, and businesses. This property is peaceful, and away from all the craziness of downtown. The warm and cozy ambiance with natural lighting, large kitchens, and ceiling fans give the sense of welcoming you home after a long day at work. Washers and dryers are of course provided in every unit. Two bedrooms are less than $1,300, and there are different layouts to choose from including roommate style floorplans with the living room separating the bedrooms for privacy. The oasis, arboretum and the domain are all a short drive with easy access to highways. If you're looking for a slice of West Austin tranquility, this may just be the perfect piece of heaven for you.
5. Lady on the Lake: $
I love how this property has managed to hang on to its Austin core. This apartment community is perfect for someone looking to be seconds from the Town lake boardwalk! Hopping on your paddle board, or kayak on a Sunday afternoon has never been easier. And we forgot to mention, the prices are amazingly affordable! Whether you're looking for bike/walkability to bars, restaurants, and food trucks. It's hundreds cheaper than some of its competitors around. The pool and fitness center isn't quite as high-end as some of the skyrises and midrises in the area, but with all the money you'll be saving, you'll have enough saved up to join Austins trendiest gyms and yoga communities if you desire.
