As you drive through South West Austin, you’ll be able to see the landscape transform right in front of your eyes from huge luscious Texas sized hills to vast lakes and tranquil-like plains. Adventuring to Hamilton Pool with its story tell-like atmosphere is ideal for children of all ages! The newly constructed outdoor Galleria, located in Bee Caves, is a shopping haven for anyone looking to dine or explore various boutiques. In between the rolling hills lies The Deep Eddy vodka distillery for a tour and a vodka tasting experience. Just make sure to bring your designated driver because it may be a pricey Uber ride back to the city. By the way, if you’re passing through Driftwood after catching an assortment of different organic flavored vodkas, you might want to take a little advice from Willie “Nelson” if you get the munchies and snatch some of the BBQ served up at The Salt Lick. The Salt lick just celebrated its 50th birthday, and it’s literally like no other!

Apartments & accessibility

South West Austin is not only famous for its hidden gems, huge roaring hills but is a fantastic place that sits just a few miles out side of Central Austin. The Apartments and flats you will find will vary from property to property. Some will be more traditional. Others will be what some would see at Texas luxury, with native landscaping, warmer modern tones in some apartments, and that little piece of calmness that say home sweet home. Just be warned, this is not a super popular area for public transportation so having a motor vehicle may be a good option if you work or would venture out side the South West area.
