With the recent development of Tech jobs arriving like Apple, Google, IBM, and entrepreneurial start-ups popping in the area, North Austin has been exploding with better apartments, restaurants all in the name of innovation! The Domain has gotten so large when people think of North Austin, minds instantly think of The Domain. It is like it's own sliver of Downtown. If you want a place to park your car and walk to shops, bars, coffee houses, and possibly your office, if you so happen to be located in one of the business buildings that line the streets, this could be a great place to check out.

If you're feeling like stretching those legs, you might take a walk in the North Austin nine-acre park and enjoy the coolness, shade and the walkways. On the other hand, if Mama, “or Daddy” needs to get a new pair of shoes or perhaps you’re in need of getting an entirely new wardrobe to match that sleek apartment, North Austin has you covered! After all, when you look good you feel good, right? The assortment of shopping that you can take part in at the Domain has anything from high-end choices like Nordstrom's, Neiman Markus,  and Stag Gentlemen's attire, to more affordable options like H&M, Forever 21, Lucky Brand, and Zara. If you venture out, you can find other gems that line the area all there for the sole reason of you snagging a few new outfits to celebrate your inner rock star!

Dining and drinking

If you want to have some fun and let your hair down a little, grabbing beers in the newly fashioned Rock Rose district of the domain, which is a walkable block of bars and restaurants, it is one of the coolest places in town to do so. If in the mood for something a bit more refined, the North Italia would be an epic choice as well. Once again, Since Austin isn't only a food loving city, but also a health conscious city, a MUST try is the Flower child. The line may look like it takes forever, but it moves pretty fast. Also, you may be tempted to jump ship and grab a burger else where, but we swear, the flavors curated at Flowerchild is enough to have you coming back for weeks. Heck, you may just want to move north just to be close!  

Apartments and Accessibility.

North Austin, located about 6 or 7 miles from Downtown Austin, and has little something for everyone. North Austin is roughly defined as the area that sits in between both highways that run north and south which is Mopac and IH-35, and also sits near major roads like HWY 183, HWY 45. Cutting through the region are popular commuter roads like Breaker, Metric, North Lamar, and Palmer Lane. If the domain seems like the bustle would be a little too much, the surrounding areas away from the domain might be a fantastic choice. The great thing about North Austin is the areas diversity. This is not only an area for luxury apartment enthusiasts seeking granite counter tops and stainless appliances. North Austin offers something for folks on every type of budget.
