Neighborhood & Accessibility

First of all, another Austin name that is a little misleading is, Farwest Blvd because it isn’t actually that far, or that west. It sits near Mopac and Anderson Road and is about 1.5  miles to Burnet Road. It’s not quite as far as the Arboretum but isn’t as close as Old West Austin. It’s hidden right in the middle, tucked away and is a haven for cute and well-priced apartments.

What makes this area so wonderful is it hasn't quite been hit with the huge demand for ultra modern renovations, so the apartments have stayed relatively affordable. This affordability is considering the proximity to both areas like the Domain and Downtown Austin. Here you will still find Capital Metro bus routes to UT Campus along with other parts of Austin. In the Far West area, you will find anything from the more traditional styled apartments with carpeting and white appliances to styles that are a little more contemporary with wood flooring and updated renovations. Most communities here don't excessively renovate their units which is good for the budget-conscious person looking for a gem while still saving a little money for exploring Austin.
